  • Supermoon and Himalayan Salt Bath

Posted on November 14, 2016 by Wendy

With the Supermoon fully upon us it is a fabulous time to take a moment to soak up
the healing white light from the moon and also take a Himalayan Salt bath.

Taking a Himalayan Salt bath, or otherwise known as Sole or Brine Baths
in conjunction with certain phases of the moon is known as Moon or Moon Rhythm Bathing.

I was able to take a detox bath last evening and the wonders of relaxation for sleeping were
amazing. During the supermoon period the water remains at the highest temperature
    and the cleansing/sweating was optimum.
This is an excellent way to detox and relax while cleansing your body, mind and soul.

While taking a Himalayan Salt Bath, minerals are absorbed while toxins are released
into the bath water via osmosis. The inside and the outside of your body detoxifies
through this process, while bio-energetic weak points are restored and energy flow is activated.

Statistics say that Himalayan salt is known as the purest salt on earth with
85 plus minerals and the detox effect is equivalent to a 3 day fast.

As my book "How to Get to Your Natural States of Weight" states that acidity cause inflammation and pain
in your body Himalayan salt baths reduce acidity and help balance the pH of your skin.

You will also feel relief of pain, soreness in your muscles and joints as well.
What an excellent way to stimulate circulation as the same time and get moisture back into your skin.

Make sure you have a large glass of water to drink while taking this bath as you will need
    to hydrate yourself while detoxing.

I also like to light a couple small candles to help with the mood.

Combining energies like fire, water, earth and air can also be spiritually cleansing
    as well.

I hope you take time during this November Supermoon to relax and soak in the energy.

Please remember that not everyone can take a Himalayan salt bath and you should Consult a physician if you have heart or circulatory problems. Himalayan Salt Baths can be a little taxing on your circulatory system and may cause slight dizziness afterwards.

    Remember to always be Fabulous!

    Luv Wendy

  • What does the colour of your pee mean?

Posted on July 31, 2016 by Wendy

I have a chapter in my Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic Living book dedicated to my "pee strips"
which are an excellent way to chart your pH in your body to get to your natural state of weight.

While charting your pH you can also chart the colour of your urine as it will also show you
if you are hydrated enough. Check out this great article by The Cleveland Clinic so you can chart it. http://www.ba-bamail.com/content.aspx?emailid=19360

Drinking the right amount of water makes a big difference in how you feel as well

  • Recipes with Rhubarb

Posted on May 27, 2015 by Wendy

I was able to visit the Farmers Market for the first time this weekend and found some delicious rhubarb. Of course I had to buy it to make my favourite rhubarb strawberry crumble. Make sure you take some time to visit the Farmers Market close to you to support your local farmer.

Rhubarb is alkaline so it's a great fruit to get pH balanced and get to your natural state of weight.

Here is a great article from Cityline featuring some of their favourite recipes with rhubarb.

Enjoy and Remember to always Be Fabulous!

  • Switch Up The Nachos

Posted on February 25, 2015 by Wendy

Today's recipe is a simple snack as that is how I like to make it. Simple, Easy, and pH alkaline balanced.
That way anyone who reads my blog says, "I can make that"

Too many times I wanted to make a recipe and it was just way to involved, and took way too much time and
I am sure I have missed out on some super delicious recipes.
Time is a deciding factor for many of us, and after a long day we want to make something quick, delicious and healthy.

Do you know how many times I have eaten nachos, loaded up with cheese, and loaded up with nacho sauce?
Way to many times to want to admit. I decided a couple of weeks ago to try Nachos without cheese and without sauce.
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful adventure it was for me.

Most health stores now carry a Plain Nacho chip, low in fat and low in sodium.
Before you purchase your chips take some time to read the labels and get the lowest sodium available.
These chips are to be eaten in moderation, and not as a full meal.
Remember this is a snack. Yes, I now, it will taste so delicious you will want to eat the entire tray!!
Always keep in mind the 75% Alkaline, 25% Acidic Rule so load them up with veggies!

The ingredients I used for my topping is:
    Spinach,
    Kale
    Organic Black Olives
    Red peppers
    Yellow peppers
    Onion
    Zucchini
    (jalapeno peppers optional)

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spread out your Nacho chips on a non stick pan.
Cut up all your awesome veggies and sprinkle all over to make it an even coating.
If you want to spice it up you can add Jalapeno peppers.

    NO CHEESE, NO SAUCE.....

Heat in the over for 20 minutes and Enjoy
