  • Time - The Power to Choose

Posted on June 19, 2018 by Wendy

Each person who draws breath on this earth receives the same amount of time each day,

    24 hours, 1440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds.

At the end of that day the time is gone.

Time cannot be stolen, exchanged, refunded, stockpiled, or hacked.

Time is extremely limited and insanely in demand.

Think of all that competes with your time on a daily basis. Are you overwhelmed yet?

    Many of us live at a frantic pace. Our calendars are overflowing;

We run from one activity to the next.

There is constant noise in our lives. We’re always “connected”.

However, are we actually connecting with others?

    Busyness does not equal importance.

Today, be intentional in your relationships.

Make time to spend with those you love and care about.

Make a new memory you can cherish and reflect on.

Make sure you do something you love.

Take time for yourself to fill up your soul so you can fill up others.

Don’t hang out with people who drain your enery and are always complaining and being negative.

You don’t want to give your precious time to things and people that you will regret.

We only pass through this life once. Make your time count

What will you do today with your 24 hours? Your 1440 minutes? Your 86,400 seconds?

  • Supermoon and Himalayan Salt Bath

Posted on November 14, 2016 by Wendy

With the Supermoon fully upon us it is a fabulous time to take a moment to soak up
the healing white light from the moon and also take a Himalayan Salt bath.

Taking a Himalayan Salt bath, or otherwise known as Sole or Brine Baths
in conjunction with certain phases of the moon is known as Moon or Moon Rhythm Bathing.

I was able to take a detox bath last evening and the wonders of relaxation for sleeping were
amazing. During the supermoon period the water remains at the highest temperature
    and the cleansing/sweating was optimum.
This is an excellent way to detox and relax while cleansing your body, mind and soul.

While taking a Himalayan Salt Bath, minerals are absorbed while toxins are released
into the bath water via osmosis. The inside and the outside of your body detoxifies
through this process, while bio-energetic weak points are restored and energy flow is activated.

Statistics say that Himalayan salt is known as the purest salt on earth with
85 plus minerals and the detox effect is equivalent to a 3 day fast.

As my book "How to Get to Your Natural States of Weight" states that acidity cause inflammation and pain
in your body Himalayan salt baths reduce acidity and help balance the pH of your skin.

You will also feel relief of pain, soreness in your muscles and joints as well.
What an excellent way to stimulate circulation as the same time and get moisture back into your skin.

Make sure you have a large glass of water to drink while taking this bath as you will need
    to hydrate yourself while detoxing.

I also like to light a couple small candles to help with the mood.

Combining energies like fire, water, earth and air can also be spiritually cleansing
    as well.

I hope you take time during this November Supermoon to relax and soak in the energy.

Please remember that not everyone can take a Himalayan salt bath and you should Consult a physician if you have heart or circulatory problems. Himalayan Salt Baths can be a little taxing on your circulatory system and may cause slight dizziness afterwards.

    Remember to always be Fabulous!

  • Uplift Your Daughters - Uplift Yourself

Posted on September 1, 2016 by Wendy

I couldn't have had a greater role model as a mother.

As I think back to when I was younger I watched her all the time. She was my hero and still is .

She uplifted me through the self respect she had for herself and self love.
Even though times were not always perfect and I am not a mother myself,
I think of you ladies out there who can make a difference in your daughters life.

Teach her about healthy choices, self respect, self love and worthiness.

Thank you to psychology of eating for the great photo.

  • What does the colour of your pee mean?

Posted on July 31, 2016 by Wendy

I have a chapter in my Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic Living book dedicated to my "pee strips"
which are an excellent way to chart your pH in your body to get to your natural state of weight.

While charting your pH you can also chart the colour of your urine as it will also show you
if you are hydrated enough. Check out this great article by The Cleveland Clinic so you can chart it. http://www.ba-bamail.com/content.aspx?emailid=19360

Drinking the right amount of water makes a big difference in how you feel as well

  • 7 Reasons why your relationship is making you fat

Posted on July 14, 2016 by Wendy

This is a fabulous article by Elite Daily written by Brittany Greco. I can relate
    to this totally.

When in a relationship I don't work out as much which I should,
I tend to eat more as eating becomes a social event instead of a health event
and I definitely don't dance as much as I would like to.

You may relate to all 7 reasons or know someone who is experiencing this.

Here is the link to the article and website for other excellent articles

Relationships, like any other all-around significant commitment, can bring about some major life changes.

From reaching a whole new level of comfort with another human being to learning how to
comfortably fit two bodies into one bed in the ultimate game of Tetris, being in a relationship changes a person.

One of the most perceivable changes that one may go through while engaging in such a commitment,
however, is the painfully noticeable physical one: the relationship weight gain.

We all know a friend — or ten — who gained an apparent amount of weight throughout the
    duration of a relationship.
In fact, I gained a good 10 or 15 pounds over the course of my recent two-year relationship
(which I promptly shed as the union started to deteriorate).

The oddest part about it, though, is that it's not the sad kind of weight gain
often brought on by stress and depression; it's the happy kind.
It's like the people who this ailment plagues gain ten pounds of pure happiness (usually in the midsection).

Here are some of the reasons why relationships infamously make lovers plumper than they prefer:

    1. You don't need to attract anyone new.
Once you've persuaded someone into thinking that you're worth such a large chunk of
his or her time that you're the only one with whom the person is allowed to be intimate,
    congratulations! You're locked into a full-fledged relationship.

This means you’ll have to impress no one other than this person (in an physically attractive way,
at least — you should totally still brush your hair and shower).

With this pressure off your shoulders, pizza will start to look significantly more appealing
and desserts will, too. Also, the gym becomes an unnecessary burden that you may grace
with your presence, only when you really want to — not when you need to.

    2. Nobody new has to see you naked.

Unless you're a sneaky little cheater, once you have entered a relationship,
only one person will have the pleasure of seeing your naked body in all of its glory.

You know that vulnerable, exciting, slightly fear-inducing, slightly butterfly-inducing feeling
you get when someone new rips off your clothes for the first time? Yeah, that doesn't happen anymore.

Your partner knows exactly what's hiding under those clothes, and chances are,
he or she will neither notice nor care if you gain a few pounds.

Since sex will undoubtedly die down in frequency or get less exciting
(e.g. you don't take off your bra anymore — or maybe even your shirt, for that matter),
you'll feel oh-so-free to pack on some pounds.

    3. You skip the gym in order to spend time with your significant other.

If your significant other is on the same page about the gym, great!
This does not apply to you because you can motivate each other to workout.

If this isn't the case and your boyfriend or girlfriend works out either way more than you,
way less than you or not at all, it may pose a problem.

If you lead a busy life, like most people do, spending time with your boo may not
always be as convenient as you would like.

That being said, whenever you both have mutual free time, the pressure is on to spend it together.
This can severely impede on your “me time,” under which category the gym undoubtedly falls.

Just remember, your significant other cannot comment on your weight gain if
he or she pressures you to skip workouts!

    4. The compliments are constantly coming.

Despite how low your self-esteem might be, most people get boosts of confidence upon receiving compliments.

And chances are, if you are in a loving, caring, healthy relationship,
you'll receive no shortage of them. When your partner thinks you're the most flawless person
in the universe, it's hard to think of yourself in any other way. And that's a good thing, right?

Well, to an extent, but it becomes way easier to lose track of your appearance
when the person whose opinion you value the most puts you on a pedestal.

    5. He or she influences your eating behavior in a negative way.

Eating — at a restaurant or at home — is one of the most popular activities for couples to do together.

Once you enter that super comfortable stage in the relationship in which you can be disgusting
and bloated in front of each other, vanity is out the window.

There are so many new places to try together and you no longer need to give a care
that cheese might make you extremely gassy and drinking that extra glass of wine might make you vomit. You just don't care.

    6. Staying in on a weekend night.

When going out and dancing with your friends turns into shoving takeout in your mouth
like it's your final meal, your body will surely pay the price.

It's great because zero effort goes into this activity. Throw on some sweats,
roll into bed and call your bff: the delivery guy. It's okay because you're not in this sad,
pathetic state alone; you're with someone who loves you.

So, you sit there in bed, watching some TV, shoveling that pad thai or whatever down the hatch,
just praying that you don't have to wear anything tight anytime soon. Oh, are you drinking, too?
    Well it is the weekend!

Don't forget to factor in a massive amount of calories for that and for the fact that you will not be moving an inch all night.

    7. You're too happy to give a care about anything.

Your relationship is going well and you really don't care about anything else?

You don't care about getting into great shape, you don't care about what you eat
and you don't care about what other people think of you; you're content.

This is truly the best excuse for the possible relationship weight gain.
You stop obsessing over what your body looks like and you realize that you're fine just the way you are.
Isn't a healthy body image what we all strive to have?

As long as your health isn't rapidly deteriorating and you're not putting yourself at risk,
I say, take a breather and enjoy this judgment-free time. It's so rare that we can feel completely comfortable in our own skin.

However, you should prepare yourself for the potential relationship failure and the
“I need to lose weight right now because all of my nice underwear give me muffin top” phase.

Keep in mind that if you skip the “crying over pints of Ben and Jerry's ice cream” post-breakup ritual,
you'll have a huge head start!

So let me know if you related to any of the 7 reasons.

  • Body Image - Eating Alkaline

Posted on July 5, 2016 by Wendy

Hope you all had a great long weekend.

I was studying this morning about body image - eating alkaline - and the way we see
ourselves and the way we imagine how we look.

It's funny how when I was a young woman my body image was so important to me
and I always thought I had to look put together and perfect all the time.
I thought how I looked affected my success.

As I get older I have become more relaxed and less stressed about it.
Wisdom over the years has showed me that is it more about who you are
    than what you look like.

Of course looking pretty and feeling good about myself is still important
and it plays a huge role in my health and how I eat. I still feel a bit
of pressure internally to exercise and eat an alkaline diet and feel good about how I feel when I
look at myself naked in the mirror.

Having a positive body image means that, most of the time, you see yourself accurately,
you feel comfortable in your body, and you feel good about the way you look.
You are proud of what you see and you like the person looking back at you.

It is common to struggle with body image, no matter who you are.
Severe negative body image can lead to serious eating and exercise disorders.
It can also lead to depression, lack of energy, negative feelings, unhappiness, anger, jealousy
    and much more.

Body image is how you feel in your body, if you feel attractive, positive, healthy, strong and
in charge of your own destiny.

Yes I understand that sometimes you might not feel so good about how your thighs look, your nose is too crooked,
your eyes are too close together, your tummy sticks out more than you like,
however, it is important to be kind to yourself and not judge so much.

I realize that most of the time I ever judged my body, there was someone looking at my
body wishing it was there's. Funny how we want what we don't have.

Today's message is to love what you have. You have been given this body and your shape
for a reason. It's time you celebrate it.

If you don't like what you see, take small steps to make changes. I know by
eating an alkaline diet it will make a huge difference in how you feel both
    emotionally and physically.

Learn to love foods that will love you back. Your body image truly does
    start on the inside.

I know it's not always easy to do however it is always worth it.

Email me for your complimentary alkaline food list if you want to find out more

  • Don't be Discouraged

Posted on July 3, 2016 by Wendy

There will be many people who try to discourage you when you want to do something greater with your life.
People will discourge you from being more positive, more happy, and joy filled.
They don't want you to step out into a journey of love, happiness and success because
they don't have the courage to do so themselves.
They prefer for you to stay like them.
Sometimes it will even be close friends and family that wants to hold you back
and sometimes it's the strangers and associates who you compete with in business.
You may even lose friends because you make a decision to be healthier & happier.
It's ok though. The people who truly love you will encourage you to grow,
to find those answers you need for your inner self, and they will be with you every step of the way.
They won't judge you and condemn you. Look on the bright side,
maybe it might even encourage others to take that step for a new brighter journey by watching you do it.
Take that step today. Don't let others discourage you.
You deserve to live a live being Fabulous!

I love this picture of this little girl and unfortunately do not know who to give the credit of photo to.
If you know, please email me. Thank you
