  • Feeling Grateful

Posted on December 28, 2014 by Wendy

As we move into the final week before the end of the year, I wanted to touch base with all of you and let you know I am grateful for all the interactions I have experienced this year with you through the website and monthly newsletter. I've heard great stories of people living a pain free life by simply choosing to eat a more alkaline pH balanced diet.

One mom told me how she now packs better lunch boxes for her kids, and how her family actually now enjoys grocery shopping together and how they play the "Alkaline" Game in the store finding the right foods for a healthier lifestyle. One gal actually lost 20 pounds by using our pH alkaline/acidic sheet. Your body will go to its "natural state of weight" when you eat an alkaline diet.

Through 2015 I will continue to share more simple, easy recipes and tips on how to live a healthier lifestyle. I will have more opportunities created with a "Win A Book Contest" as it seems like our audience is enjoying and looking forward to it.

I just sent a book to Egypt and the U.K. which is very exciting indeed. Our website is now receiving over half a million hits and comments from over 37 countries.

I love receiving emails from our global readers letting us know how simple recipes are making a difference. I welcome any feedback you may have on things you wish to see in our newsletter as your input is important to me and it is because of you that I am here. You inspire me to be greater. I want this to be a community for all of us. Please email at wendy@wendyladd.com, if you'd like to connect or have any comments or suggestions.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Remember to always, Be Fabulous

  • Breakfast Egg Muffins

Posted on December 21, 2014 by Wendy

    Happy December...

Now that the holidays are upon us I was giving some thought to how to make your holiday breakfast quick & easy and with some alkaline. I know on Christmas morning with all the hustle and bustle the last thing you think about is making a healthy breakfast. Also having a meal you can throw in your bag to take on the road while visiting relatives is nice as well. There is no need to go hungry and what better way to eat your veggies as well

    Home Made Breakfast Egg Muffins

My good friend Neelo's Kitchen shared this recipe and photo with me however I have tweaked it so it is 75% Alkaline and 25% Acidic so it's the perfect pH Balanced Breakfast or mid morning Snack.

    INGREDIENTS

    Chopped Spinach

    Chopped Kale

    Chopped Broccoli

    Chopped Onion

    Chopped Tomatoes

    Black Ground Pepper

    Green Chillies

    Fresh Coriander

Grated Cheese of your choice (optional)

    6 Omega Preferred Eggs

    2 Tbsp Almond Milk

1 Muffin pan of 12 separate cups

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat Oven to 400 degrees

    Grease your muffin tin

Beat your eggs with the almond milk

Add your vegetables along with the cheese in each separate muffin pan

Pour beaten egg mixture on top of it

Place muffin pan on the center rack of a preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until muffins are light brown, puff, and the eggs are set.

Let muffins cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin pan or cups. Loosen gently with knife if they seem to be sticking. Eat immediately or let cool completely and store in plastic bag in refrigerator or freezer. The Egg Muffins can be reheated in the microwave

The great thing with this recipe is you can chop up all your ingredients the night before so all you have to do in the morning is mix your eggs up. You can also mix up your ingredients if you like for unlimited possibilities.

Great as well for your children to take to school for a mid morning snack and a dose of healthy vegetables. Much better than the standard carbs for breakfast.

I hope you give this recipe a try, not only for Christmas morning, but all throughout the year. It is packed with lots of vitamins, minerals, and protein and a Super Yummy and Fabulous Way to start your day!

    Enjoy!!

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and Remember to always, Be Fabulous

    Luv Wendy

  • Giving Back To Women In Shelters

Posted on December 20, 2014 by Wendy

As some of you will remember back in September we started a campaign for Healthy Balance - Shelters 2014 in support of the Canadian Center for Abuse Awareness. The goal was to get as many books into women's shelters so they could have a beginning foundation of eating a more alkaline, pH balanced diet, as this is one of the fundamental steps for healing. I want to give a Big Thank You to all of you who donated and participated in this campaign and let you know I am truly grateful to you for your gift of giving.

It was a pleasure to be able to spend some time yesterday signing my book, Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic Living, Get to Your Natural State of Weight at the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness. It was so heart warming to watch their team in action sending packages, turkeys, and gifts to the women's shelters and families who cannot afford a Christmas. What they do at the CCAA is a huge eye opener of witnessing other people's reality and how there is so much we can do to make someone else's life better. This is something the CCAA does all year round, and not just for Christmas which makes it even a more special place close to my heart.

The autographed books are on their way to women's shelters for Christmas and to those who donated $50 and above. I am feeling so blessed and grateful to have been a part of something, and to be able to give back in a small way. I hope it helps some women in shelters understand how eating alkaline, pH balanced is a small step in their healing. Living in a shelter might not always have the best of food however this is a beginning....

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, and I send loving energy to all of you and your family. You can find out more about the CCAA at www.abusehurts.ca

  • Books for Christmas

Posted on December 11, 2014 by Wendy

As the holidays are soon upon us and we are all personally out there shopping for individual gifts, I was pretty surprised and blessed when I received a call from a local company who wanted me to send off a box of books to them. They will be gifting each staff member with a copy of my book. Their goal is to help their staff learn about healthier lifestyles. I thought what an amazing thing to do for their team.

So, If you are a company and want to talk about a discount on orders for the holidays, so you can gift your team with the opportunity of learning a healthier lifestyle, please send me a message. Would love to help you out

  • Women of Influence

Posted on December 6, 2014 by Wendy

I had the opportunity to have lunch with 1400 Women this week at the Women of Influence Luncheon. Can you imagine all the energy that was in the room? 100% Fabulous!

The top 25 Women of Influence were recognized and Kathleen Wynne, the Premier of Ontario was included. She was also the guest speaker. I must say her speech was awesome and her vision was enlightening for women In the work force. She definitely looks younger in person.

Have yourself a wonderful day everyone and Remember to always be fabulous!

    Luv Wendy
