  • Women of Influence

Posted on December 6, 2014 by Wendy

I had the opportunity to have lunch with 1400 Women this week at the Women of Influence Luncheon. Can you imagine all the energy that was in the room? 100% Fabulous!

The top 25 Women of Influence were recognized and Kathleen Wynne, the Premier of Ontario was included. She was also the guest speaker. I must say her speech was awesome and her vision was enlightening for women In the work force. She definitely looks younger in person.

Have yourself a wonderful day everyone and Remember to always be fabulous!

    Luv Wendy

  • Film "Muffin Top"

Posted on November 16, 2014 by Wendy

Has anyone seen this movie yet? The trailer is hilarious. I think no matter what our weight is we have all experienced a Muffin Top Moment, and guess what? It's OK!! The message is clear though, Beauty is being YOU. Be the best you can. Be proud of who you are. All Shapes, All Sizes Our bodies change as we got through things. Emotions and stress affect our figures and as we get older as well, things just naturally change. So, sometimes you just have to be totally Grateful for what God gave YOU. YES YES!!

Posted on November 7, 2014 by Wendy

I had the pleasure of speaking at an event on Wednesday night, November 5th for the Soroptimist International of York Region along with the awesome Ellen Campbell, Jacquie Herman and Tina Tehranchian. What a fabulous time we all had inspiring each other to be their best.

The name, Soroptimist, means "Best for Women", and that is what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. Soroptimist International is a worldwide service organization for women. They are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realize aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.

They have 3 awards to women each year.

    1. Women's Opportunity Award. This monetary award assists women to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Eligible applicants must be women who provide the primary financial support for their families and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

    2. Violet Richardson Award. This award recognizes a female student's contribution in volunteering with an organization in the community.

    3. Donna McCann Award. This award recognizes a special woman in our community who has made a significant contribution to the lives of women or girls.

I encourage you to check out this Fabulous group of women and attend one of their events.

Sheri Madjpour is the President for York and I am sure she would love to hear from you. Here is the link to the site and the email is siyorkregion@gmail.com http://siyorkregion.netfirms.com/

  • Hope in the City - Cancer Society Event

Posted on October 25, 2014 by Wendy

What a fabulous time was had by all who attended the Hope in the City Event - Cancer Society Fundraiser. I was excited to
check off one of the items on my bucket list by participating in the SexyPlus Clothing Fashion Show. Blessings to all the men and women who defend our country and give of themselves so unselfishly to events like Hope in the City - Cancer Society. Their support in helping us ladies in the fashion show was awesome, and even Firefighter Bill managed to take the stage for a walk on the runway. Here is the face book link Here is also the link from the event if you want to put as well https://www.facebook.com/events/1496827450551837/

Bless Cpl. Nathan Cirillo for giving his life to Canada and to his family who is grieving such a sad, and unnecessary lose. I pray new lessons are learned from his death.

  • The Oak Tree

Posted on October 18, 2014 by Wendy

Life is like a storm, you are either entering a storm, in the middle of a storm, or coming out of a storm So, for all my fabulous friends today who are going through something, in the middle of something or coming out of something, this is for you....

    THE OAK TREE

    A mighty

    wind blew night and day,

    It stole the

    oak tree's leaves away,

    Then snapped

its boughs and pulled its bark,

    Until the

    oak was tired and stark.

    But still

the oak tree held its ground,

    While other

    trees fell all around.

    The weary

    wind gave up and spoke,

    "How

can you still be standing, Oak?

    The oak tree

    said, "I know that you,

    Can break

each branch of mine in two,

    Carry every

    leaf way,

    Shake my

    limbs, and make me sway.

    But I have

    roots stretched in the earth,

    Growing

    stronger since my birth.

    You'll never

    touch them, for you see,

    They are the

    deepest part of me.

    Until today,

    I wasn't sure,

    Of just how

    much I could endure.

    But now I've

    found, with thanks to you,

    I'm stronger

    than I ever knew.

So my friends, especially now, try to remember that you're stronger than any problem you encounter, or

    any disappointment life will bring...

    I am Thinking of

    you,

    I am Believing in

    you,

    I am Caring for

    you.

And lastly, Remember through it all. "Always be Fabulous"

    Luv Wendy

  • SIZE SEXY

Posted on October 4, 2014 by Wendy

So I decided to wear my #SIZESEXY t-shirt out and about yesterday while running errands, and meeting friends for coffee. WOW!!! Amazing the reactions I got. Some looked at me and then looked again. Some starred at me not nicely, like I was intimidating them with the words on my chest. Some smiled and commented because they were confident in who they were about themselves and loved it. One gal asked me where I got it. I shared Sexy Plus Clothing. Another told me I was just pure 100% Sexy.

Funny how just 2 words got all this reaction. I wore my shirt in pure 100% Fabulousness and laughed inside myself thinking... Yes! #SIZESEXY ROCKS... Our size does not define us... We are who we are. When will the world finally accept that? LOVE MY SHIRT Tierra Sedgemore. Thank you

I Love this campaign. It was Published on Jul 17, 2014 by The Mrs., an all-female band from Austin, Texas. They recently asked women how they felt when they looked in the mirror. As you will see, they didn't like the answer, so they decided to help change it. These Ladies Stood In Front Of An Interactive Mirror Without Knowing What To Expect...

How many people look in the mirror every morning and feel unworthy, not pretty, fat or just inadequate? These ladies didn’t know what to expect at first but then they realized the mirror started talking to them. It also showed them personalized messages from their families and friends reassuring them just how appreciated they are. I believe this also applies to men as well. Women are just more outward in sharing their feeling however trust me in the fact that men feel the same.

Watch their reactions as the scene unfolds below and tell us what you think in the comments. Video credit goes to The Mrs. and a big shout out of thanks for making us aware.

    Remember to Always Be Fabulous!

  • Faces of 50

Posted on September 16, 2014 by Wendy

Feeling Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic and FIFTY!!
I guess it's time to add another F to Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic

Turning 50 is a big deal or so people say. I must tell you I do not feel a day over 30 so I guess when I say 39 and holding it's true. 50 is just another number, however it does make you stop to think for a moment about where you are in your live, where you have come from and where you are heading. I guess it's important to stop for a moment to make sure you are on the right track. After all we all will be living to 100 these days so this is the half way point.

Living my dream is a big part of turning 50. I am grateful for all the people who have been with me during this journey of working Fabulous, Fit & Fantastic Living full time and for your continued support & inspiration on everything I do. My Card "There Comes A Time" is distributed world wide, and my book is now going across Canada helping women in Shelters. The new show Living a Balanced Life is in Production as well as speaking engagements which I couldn't get to working for someone else.

This is for sure a time of Celebration. Not just because I am turning 50, but because Life is Just Beginning.
Thank you everyone for all the Birthday Wishes and taking the time to send me emails and notes.

Feeling forever Fabulous and Joy filled.

    Luv Wendy
